VOLUNTEER
WZA is a fitness event that celebrates fitness, community and life.
Be part of the WZA family by volunteering at our 7th annual WZA event!

Why should I volunteer at WZA?
Volunteers are the lifeblood and most vital part of Wodapalooza. Volunteers help to ensure that this years’ event goes down as another successful WZA experience in the books. Volunteers get to work behind the scenes giving them a rare opportunity to be up close to the action!

What do volunteers do?
WZA volunteers work closely with WZA staff in the following areas:

The production of this event requires the moving of large loads, long distance, quickly. Those in this group can expect physical elements such as heavy lifting, repetitive bending, reaching, and light running. This is a very crucial role with responsibilities that are essential to the job in effort to make sure our event runs smooth and on time. You may be asked to fulfill other similar duties outside of this scope.
WZA Miami is seeking individuals that love dealing with people. Those in this group will handle responsibilities in areas such as: athlete and volunteer check-in, corralling athletes, security, ushers, greeters, score runners, nameplate, workshops, front gate, volunteer tent, media, adaptive crew, etc. These individuals are vital to the all-around Wodapalooza experience and should pride themselves on effective communication. Director of Volunteers will assign volunteers in these roles.
WZA is looking for experienced judging volunteers to be part of Team Integrity! Our sport depends largely on the ability of the judge to be fair, accurate, and consistent. The quality of the judging at any event is usually indicative of its reputation and in large part, its success. You will be asked to judge an athlete based on their ability to adhere to the standards we set, as well as count their repetitions. Judging will be your primary responsibility but you may also be asked to fulfill other duties.
Provide emergency medical support if needed. You will communicate with Medical Director if EMS services are needed. Nurses, physician assistants, physicians, physical and occupational therapists will fill these posts. These volunteers need to be certified in CPR and/or First Aid.
