How to: Uploading Your Video for Submission

The WZA Online Challenge is almost over and with that, video submission is right around the corner

We’re not all as tech savants, so to help, we want to offer you some tips on how to upload your videos and submit them. 

First note, we will only accept video links from any where. If you do not already have one, you will need to make an account with one of the above platforms.

We're requested all three athlete's WOD 1, 2, 3 (which should be 1 video each athlete, so 3 total videos), and WOD 8, 9, & 10, which should be one video for WOD 8 (your fastest teammate), one video for WOD 9 (your second fastest athlete), and one video for WOD 10 (your slowest teammate.) 

When uploading, don't use background music with copyright protection, it may be blocked. If you do have music in the background of video that results in the video being blocked, go into settings and “mute” the sound. Furthermore, make sure you set your video for PUBLIC viewing.

HEADS UP! Upload videos with plenty of time to spare, uploading large video files can take a long time! 

If you are new to YouTube, by default YouTube requires you to request a limit increase to upload a video longer than 15 minutes.  To do so, follow the instructions in the link below - https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/71673?hl=en

Once you’ve uploaded your video to the internet:

  1. Log into the WZA Portal at https://login.thewodapalooza.com.
  2. Click on the workout being requested
  3. Click 'Change'
  4. Paste your YouTube, Vimeo, or Daily Motion video link
  5. Click 'Submit Score
